Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Quixsnip is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle data within the Quixsnip mobile and web applications.

2. Data Encryption

Your clipboard data is encrypted locally on your device using AES-GCM encryption before it is transmitted to our synchronization servers. We do not store or have access to your decryption keys.

3. Accessibility Service

The Quixsnip Android app uses an Accessibility Service to detect when text is copied to the clipboard while the app is in the background. This data is processed locally and synced only if you have enabled "Auto Sync." We do not collect or monitor any other user activity.

4. Data Storage

Clipboard content is stored transiently in Firebase Realtime Database to facilitate syncing. Data nodes are designed to be temporary and are removed when a session is closed.
